About us

With this information the Data Controller, Vincenzo Salvo s.r.l.. (VAT N° and TAX CODE 00068280080), with registered office in Chiusavecchia – Regione Gombi della Luna – 18027 – IM (from now on “Olio Salvo” for brevity) intends to inform users about Cookies used on the Site oliosalvo.it

Cookies are text files that the Site sends from a web server (the computer on which the site is running) to the user’s browser (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc..) and allows you to store and transport information that is subsequently retransmitted during subsequent visits to the Site.

Cookies are used to carry out computer authentication, session monitoring and the storage of specific information concerning users accessing the Site and using the services provided by the Platform. Some operations may not be carried out without the use of cookies.

While browsing, the User may also receive cookies from third-party websites (so-called third-party cookies) set by the website operators and used for the purposes and in the manner they define.

Types of cookies used by oliosalvo.it

A.Technical Cookies.

The Site uses (i) so-called “session” cookies (which are not permanently stored on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) whose use is strictly limited to transmitting session identifiers necessary to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the Site; (ii) so-called “persistent” cookies, which remain stored in the user’s terminal even after the browser is closed.

Some cookies also make it possible to acquire information about the User in order to provide personalised functions, or to provide messages that are more relevant to the User’s interests.

B. Third party cookies

The Site uses some third party cookies, which may also be profiling cookies, which are activated by clicking “ok” on the banner.

You can choose at any time to disable cookies on your terminal through the configuration of your browser. Some pages of the Site may not work if you disable cookies completely. You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all or part of them, or notify you when a cookie is set. Through your browser, you can also delete cookies already stored on your computer. Each browser is different, so please check your browser’s help section to find out how to change your cookie preferences. Blocking all cookies will, however, have a negative impact on the functionality of the Site. The individual third party cookies are detailed below, as well as the links through which the user can receive further information and request deactivation of the cookies.

b.1. Google Analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics for statistical purposes only.

This is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”) that uses cookies, which are stored on the user’s computer to allow statistical analysis in aggregate form regarding the use of the website visited; it should also be noted that in addition to cookies, Google also uses a pixel tag (see the information).

Google uses the Personal Data collected for the purpose of tracing and examining the use of this Application, compiling reports and sharing them with other services developed by Google.

Google may use the Personal Data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its advertising network. This Google Analytics integration makes your IP address anonymous.

The anonymisation works by shortening the IP address of the Users within the borders of the Member States of the European Union or other countries which are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the IP address will be sent to Google’s servers and shortened within the United States (see privacy policy).

The Google Analytics service, used by this Site for purely statistical purposes, is activated upon landing, and no consent is required from the User for the release of the relevant cookies. Download the browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics.

b.2. Google Ads

The Site uses Google Ads, which is an online advertising service that allows advertising space to be placed on Google search pages, thus carrying out advertising campaigns aimed at specific target users and with marketing objectives, allowing ads to be shown that are more relevant to the user’s purposes. The summary box at the bottom of the page provides all the relevant information.

b.3. Social Network buttons and widgets

The Site interacts with social networks through the presence of Social Buttons, i.e. “buttons” on the Site that depict the icons of social networks (e.g. Facebook and Twitter) and allow users who are browsing to interact with a “click” directly with social platforms. The social buttons used by the Website are links that refer to the Controller’s accounts on the social networks depicted. Third-party cookies are not installed through the use of these buttons. However, we provide links where the user can view the privacy policy relating to data management by the social networks to which the buttons refer.

With the exception of the technical cookies that are strictly necessary for normal browsing, the provision of data is left to the will of the interested party who decides to browse the Site after having read the brief information contained in the appropriate banner.

The interested party may therefore avoid the installation of cookies by keeping the banner (thus refraining from closing it by clicking on the “ok” button), as well as through the appropriate functions available on his/her browser.

Disabling cookies

Without prejudice to what has been indicated above with regard to the cookies that are strictly necessary for browsing, the user can delete the other cookies through the function made available for this purpose by the Controller in this information notice or directly through his/her browser.

Each browser has different procedures for managing the settings. The user can obtain specific instructions through the links below.

It is also possible to deactivate third-party cookies using the methods made available directly by the third-party company in charge of said processing, as indicated in the links provided in the “third-party cookies” paragraph.

It should be noted that the total or partial deactivation of technical cookies may compromise the use of the Site’s functionalities; on the contrary, the usability of the public content is also possible by completely deactivating cookies.
